Fore Street in Portland, Maine is full of neat little shops and restaurants. Great places to stop in and have a drink. And very aesthetic with the cobblestone streets. Very close to the harbor and Commercial Street. Definitely worth taking a stroll down both streets.
Some cobblestones still exist on this once port adjacent street, before the land fill in now Commercial Street. Lots of shops for all reasons to shop. I personally love the Salt Shop. Dont miss our two best pubs at Grittys and Bull Feaneys.

Parallel's Commercial Street, but not as wide a street. Easy to walk and visit the various shops and restaurants. Suggest you start here with plenty of shopping bags, credit cards, and a healthy appetite.
