This is a great place to just enjoy the peace and quiet and meditation be it in the actual church or in the surrounding beautiful natural setting. There are only two arch abbeys in the U.S. and only 9 world wide so this is a must see for Catholics. They have retreats if you want something more structured and longer.... 更多
We have been to Saint Meinrad Archabbey before when we spent a night and enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. This time we were in the area and decided to visit again. There is some construction going on but that does not stop one from going into the church and thanking the good Lord for all are blessings.
St. Meinrad is a great place to find a place of heaven while you study or just go on retreat. There are so many facades of the heavenly view as presented by the earthly realities. The place is awya from the madening crowd and gives the opportunity to touch your spirit with holiness that we are all called to embrace.... 更多
The art and architecture are outstanding, and the stained glass in the church is as beautiful -- if not more so -- than many of the churches and cathedrals we have visited in Europe.
