We had read about this place and easily found it while driving through town on a Lincoln Highway tour. Upstairs is a large collection of Norman Rockwell originals. Downstairs are assorted originals from famous and not-so-famous artists, sculptors and photographers. All is nicely presented. This is definitely worth a stop if you're in Elkhart.
I'm embarrassed to say that I just visited this museum for Theo rat time even though I have lived in Elkhart for ten years! I was so impressed with the quality, quantity and variety of art shown. They even have a piece by grandma Moses! Admission is only $5.00 so you have no reason not to check out this gem... 更多
We ended up going to the museum to hear a presentation which was part of the Jazz festival but we did get to check out some of the collection..The special exhibit on the circus was great. The regular collectin is good enough to rate a visit.
I got to visit on a rainy day, during the middle of the week. No one around except the staff, who were available and willing to answer any questions. The place is in an old bank so that was almost as interesting as some of the art. Well done and good for a relaxing visit to the museum.
Excellent museum with a very good collection of art on display. Clean and well maintained. Great variety of art is represented in their collection
Just a great small town museum....some lovely pieces of art!!!People at front desk could not have been more helpful. We have been here twice and have loved it.
Wonderful art in this exhibition. A wide variety of mediums included in exhibit. A must see exhibit for anyone that is interested in Midwest artists.
I make it a point to visit the local art museum, no matter where I travel. I am often pleasantly surprised. I am an average, armchair appreciator of artists and the wonderful products of their talent. If I can find even one piece that touches me in any way, I am good. This one was really, really enjoyable. A surprise... 更多
The museum offers a wonderful variety of art and photography on display at all times. Many traveling and temporary exhibits also come through the museum. Worth venturing to see, as you would only think displays of this kind could be found in a larger city., but are located right here, and on display. Rarely busy, and mostly tranquil , this... 更多
The most awesome little museum your will every visit. Paintings from early 1800's thru modern day artists. Original paintings by Grandma Moses and a big collection by Norman Rockwell. I was really surprised to see some of Edward S. Curtis's The North American Indian photos! Juried local art competitions on an ongoing basis. They even have a little gift shop!
