I don't know what there is not a lot about the trail. I do find if I want to bike ride, it is definitely less congested to go north of Carmel - Westfield rather than south because there are a ton of walkers between the greyhound pass entrance and downtown Carmel. I find when it is very crowded you have...
I really enjoyed these trails. They are well maintained and have nice greenery. They are nice and wide so many people runners/walkers/bikers can enjoy without feeling crowded. I just wish trip advisor maps would direct out of town people to where they can park. I eventually found you can park off Rhoder road in Carmel.
The Monon trail in Carmel is probably the best man made trail I've been on besides the Pinellas Trail in Florida. There are lots of great stops for food, drink, ice cream, sightseeing and specialty shops.
