We saw this recommended in the Pacific Highway guide so stopped. We were blown away by the story, the restoration and the friendly reception of the locals who were practising for the Christmas service.

Well worth a stop to admire the woven wall hangings and the carvings, not to mention the gorgeous stained glass windows.
This is a fabulous piece of nz history and worth a stop. Easy to find and parking outside on the street.
