Our family visits Tallulah Gorge State Park every year because it really has something for everyone: beautiful, really breathtaking views (especially breathtaking after huffing and puffing up some of the stairs and trails!), excellent picnic spots, a wonderful visitor center with very helpful staff, and even a wading or swimming area across the street from the main park entrance. View-points... 更多
I frequently go hiking at Stone Mountain Park but it got nothing on Tallulah Gorge. With the many stairs, it is still a very strenuous workout. I wanted to go to the gore and rock slide but it is given to the first 100 visitors. We were too late. Urgh. We got there at 9 am. Guess next time have... 更多
We visited on Saturday 13May2017. I've lived in Georgia for over 30 years and this was my first visit here. It's just 125 miles from home. Really great visitor center with many dioramas and a nice gift shop. We were "in-route" home, so our visit was just 90 minutes. We walked to Lookout locations 1,2, and 3. We will be... 更多
We visited the park on April 29th. There is a parking fee of $5 (military $3.75). In the visitor center you can get a map of the trails leading to the waterfalls. There is a little exhibit about the park and a 15 minute movie. If you do not want the walk much, you can see two of the waterfalls.... 更多
I was driving out of Franklin, Nc back toward FL on a road trip from Denver and decided to stop here having been recommended to visit here from My spanish instructor in Cusco Peru. I am glad i stopped it was beautiful but we were not able to access the whole park as some of the trail was closed for... 更多
Great views and hiking .Staff informative , helpful. Great workout for those who love stairs. Recommended highly..Lot of history here as well. Will return
The 1st overlook point itself left me amazed of this place. This is one the most beautiful attractions I've been too in past 1 year. The walking track was made of recycled rubber tires and stairs to falls/bridge are also easy. In all about 700 steps down and back up. The falls were gorgeous so was the hike! Will come... 更多
This was so much easier to walk; people at the State Park Lodge were helpful. You didn't have to walk far to see all the beauty of the Park. Make it a stop to see! Be forwarned about traveling to the bottom - signs say it is a hard walk. We did not try it.
This park is an extraordinary asset to Northeast Georgia. Make sure to allow enough time to walk down steps to the bottom of the gorge - strenuous but well worth it.
This is definitely one of Georgia's most beautiful state parks. It has great views, and for the ambitious, you can get a workout going down the staircase to see the falls. And the Interpretive Center is fabulous with its exhibits on natural and cultural history. What a wonderful place! I can't wait to go back.
