My small senior class planned our prom to be at the Strand, but they forgot to tell us that there would be open bars with no ID checks around these minors. So we asked for our money back, and they refused. $1800 down the drain. I hope that $1800 dollars can buy them a new set of morals. Poor poor... 更多
My wife and I attended a fundraiser for adults with disabilities here for our anniversary. It was her first visit and my first since seeing the Ramones perform in the early 80's. The restoration is amazing and the venue was excellent for the a capella competition we attended. The Strand Theater is definitely a throwback to the early 1900's. While... 更多
The Earl Smith Strand Theatre is one of the landmarks on The Square in Marietta. It was beautifully remodeled a few years back, and presents a wonderful experience. The set up is very accomodating. For companies, organizations and such there is a room upstairs for rent, that can include meals. You can't miss attending a show or event at The... 更多
The Strand is a quaint little theatre. Almost demolished a few years ago it was saved from the wrecking ball. We have seen many excellent shows there and ticket prices are a great value. Conveniently located on the Marietta Square with many fine restaurants and cafes close by. Free parking available and convenient. Definitely recommend the Strand for any show!
We were there for a play. My problem was getting someone's attention to help me go down via electric chair. Other then that it was an enjoyable evening for us.
No doubt the Strand is and will be a cornerstone of the revitalized Marietta Square. It's a very nice theater. The plays I've seen there are fine populist fare with enthusiastic audiences. However, I've seen two movies there, and for the life of me could not figure out why the audience was laughing at all the "old fashioned" film making.... 更多
The venue has been beautifully and carefully restored. My wife and I have been to a number of concerts at the Strand and we love the place. Acoustics are great, they offer a bar and waiters. You couldn't ask for more, unless the Strand paid for the tickets.
Went on our own independent your of Marietta's Square and ended up at Earl Smith Strand. Theater reminds me of movie theaters I went to growing up. Make the Strand just one of the stops while visiting the Marietta Square.
Love the Strand ..... reminds you of yesteryear at the movies or play. The Strand is a cornerstone of history for Downtown Marietta and is a Fox Theatre in the minature. They provide a broad spectrum of entertainment for all ages.
