I've experienced FMoPA as a student (taking a photography seminar), and visitor, enjoying exhibits. It's a must-visit destination for Florida residence, and those visiting from out of town. A Tampa gem!

This smallish museum has been growing in Tampa for a few years. It is beautifully and strategically located in the center of the museum district beside Riverwalk and has an interesting collection of photographs some of which are over 100 years old. The museum has 3 exhibition spaces and puts on impressive exhibits of national and internationally known artists, organizes... 更多

Visited with our 8th and 10th grader. Kept our family busy for just over an hour. Had three displays, all of which captured and held our interest. A little smaller than we expected. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Went to see an exhibit of a French Photographer. His work was mostly night scenes of street life. It was a great into to street photography and Paris. The building is just as interesting as the exhibits. I spent as much time photographing the architecture as I did looking at the exhibit.

For a modest cost ($10) you get to see amazing and wonderful photographs. There are 3 galleries. In Jan 2017, there was: 1) selected photos from a wide variety of photographers on a wide variety of subjects; 2) gallery of one photographer of rocks and stones of all types: canyons, petroglyphs, ancient stone figures - printed on metal canvases; 3)... 更多

I wouldn't call this a museum. It had local photographs, not many of them and, honestly, only a few were good. Exhibit has 2 floors but an entire floor was being remodeled so there was literally nothing up there. Waste of $10 a person. My wife and I were there for tops 15 minutes and were so disappointed. Best part... 更多

What a beautiful setting! Each month they have a new show and artist lecture. The location is right downtown near the art museum and the children's museum.
Do not go! Museum is on second and third floor only. There are no stairs which is unsafe in case of a fire. One elevator was down for repair. The other one was stalling and had to be started by a security guard every time. I should have called the fire department. We were charged $10.00 each - not a... 更多
I was in town for the day and thought I'd stop into the museum. I met one of the artists as they were removing an exhibit. They were kind enough to talk about their travels and give context to the set. Staff were helpful, and the museum is nice and quite. Great place to see an exhibit.
