The museum consists of a small indoor history exhibit and 2 outdoor period working farms. This is a great place to visit on the weekends, and the price is right (free). I took my kids there when they were little (18&19 now) and we loved it there. My husband and I go occasionally now and just stroll around and talk to the "pioneers" and enjoy going back in time.
Littleton museum and art gallery are interesting to check out. The historic period farm have character actors representing that period in time that Littleton was a rural farming community. They interact with visitors in historic farmhouses, barns, school houses as they tend to their daily chores. Always an enjoyable experience.
This is a fun and educational place to simply take a relaxing walk or a homeschool fieldtrip outing with children. All of my 6 children have wonderful memories of spending time at this Museum. The 2 different homes are decorated accurately to period, the barn, blacksmith, school, ice house, and gardens all offer educational and interesting learning experiences. Just don't... 更多
I have brought my children to Littleton Museum many times. The kid love it! Great place to have a picnic, there is "Ketring Park" right next to it. You can take a walk around the pond and watch the swans and ducks.
This place is great. Kids get to run around on the large property and see animals, frontier buildings, and a real blacksmith at work. The inside of the museum holds little interest for them, but it is a great outing on a sunny day.
This museum has it all! Lots of hands-on activities for kids, plenty to see and room to run around and explore. Kids and adults of all ages can learn something new and will appreciate the detail the museum has to offer on Pioneer life in the mid- late 1800s.
