I lived in Denver 22 years before venturing through the Kirkland doors and now wonder what took me so long. This is a one-of-a-kind museum, with some of the most dazzling pieces in its eclectic collection. You would have never guessed teapots, half-century-old living room...更多
This museum was so interesting the first time, I went back with a different group of friends to share it with them later. I highly recommend a visit, it's not like any art museum I've ever seen
Incredible collection of vintage decorative arts focused primarily on the early to mid-1900's. For a relatively small museum, Kirkland packs a wide variety of items, paintings to glassware, sculpture, textiles and furniture. All displayed in a welcoming setting with knowledgable and friendly staff. Highlights are...更多
This extensive design collection is currently housed in the expanded art studio of Colorado artist Vance Kirkland but will soon move to a new larger space, which will include the historic studio. The huge number of holdings will be more visible and more able to...更多

We checked it out on "free museum night" last November. I loved it, but then I like detailed things. I had to go back to get a better view of the dishware and furniture.
I'm a potter, but did not know that the Kirkland had such an amazing collection of pottery. From commercial art pottery like Rookwood and Roseville to giants of American ceramics like Peter Voulkos -- it's a prodigious collection. And the furniture -- truly remarkable. We...更多
