Down a little from the main pier, offers good opportunities for some body surfing, swimming, and just plain beach fun. Both Metrolink and Amtrak run along the east boundary. But bring your own food and drink because offers are severely limited at this location.
As the title states we like this beach for the above reasons. We live 8 miles away and use this beach summer and winter. The beach is segregated with surfing and swimming areas. The beach area is lovely and provides a long expanse to walk along the Pacific. You must cross rail tracks to get to the beach itself.
We came to San Clemente to get out of nasty snowy weather, and this beach was so refreshing and beautiful. Clean an clear views. Fun to watch surfers catching the big waves.
the camp ground is big! only a few were on the ocean - those are probably hard to get. we picked a spot, and then walked around. found the path to the ocean. steep hill going down. what a beautiful spot. I forgot my camera at the RV so couldn't take pictures and it was to much of a hike... 更多
San Clemente beach is a nice beach but can get busy. Head to the left of the pier and be prepared to walk for a good 15 minutes and you will start to reach some nice secluded spots under the cliffs.
