A great little museum from awesome glowing rocks and gems to guns and old mining machinery and movie stars, art, and an old log cabin replica this little museum is awesome and its free. Open Thursday to Sunday 10a to 4p loved it.

Pleasantly surprised by this museum we found thru Trip Advisor. There is no entrance fee only a donation box. People inside were friendly and knowledgeable. The place is small but it is full of real interesting historical artifacts about Kern River and surrounding areas. Kids...更多

This is a free museum and has a lot of neat things from the area. You can go through the museum quickly or spend an hour or so. The staff are all volunteers and have a lot of knowledge. Definitely worth going through.
Great little museum. My Grandfather used to work the mines around kernville and it was nice to see that they even had maps of the mines. They even had an old organ that they let us play. Very friendly staff and clean museum. Highly Recommended.
