This drive thru park is a must see if your in the area. The trees are so majestic. There is a option to drive,ride a bike ,or hike.
There are plenty of spots to have a picnic, or even campout.

I'm a tree person. When I need to feed my soul via nature, it's almost always trees/mountains. Redwoods are some of my most favorite and I try to get out to this particular redwood reserve at least once a year.
The good: It's small and not overwhelming. You can make your hike as short or as long as you wish....
We have been hiking Armstrong Forest for many years and always notice new nature all about. Some of the trails are harder than others and it's always a great workout. Make sure to bring water because the only water fountain is at the vehicle entrance gate.
