In addition to the cavern, we made the trek to the Spring and Old Mill. Not much to see but the stone walls. Reading the informative signs helps but I wouldn't go out of my way in the winter.
Very cool spot to take photos. Nice shaded area to access the stream at the bottom of the falls. The mill is a great place to stop and cool off during the heat of the summer.
The storyboard is informative and is on the boardwalk way above the site. The viewing location is a great place to view the entire project and see and understand all aspects of the project. I wish they would be able to assemble the working parts of the mill to demonstrate the operation. Unfortunately the construction was ended when WWII began... 更多
While visiting the caverns we stopped by mirror lake and saw that you could follow the wooden walkway to the left and eventually get down to the creek below. It was great to actually see up close the mill and waterfall. It is slippery so bring good walking shoes. It was worth it.
