The one thing I appreciate about Roof Market is that there is no plastic junk, if I can call it that. This is a true market with something for everyone. There are vintage goods, food, African curios, jewelry and clothes. Great outing. Take some cash as not all vendors have machines.
I spotted a sign for this thriving, bustling market when I went into the mall and I'm so glad we went. I could have spent an absolute fortune there. There are so many different types of stall. Crafts, clothing, spices, organic vegetables, cheese (really delicious cheeses), plus coffee stalls and a food court with some of the most delicious food... 更多
Worth a visit. Enter the Rosebank Mall and take the elevator to the top floor. There is security to guide you through the parking lot. I realize now that most of the items in this market can be purchased in other areas throughout JNB. Some of the vendors carry the exact items. I didn’t eat anything however I did find... 更多
Spent an enjoyable Sunday morning browsing the indoor market. A variety of wares ranging from vintage items to curios to clothing. In addition, an assortment of fast food options covering a range of cuisines - Indian, Serbian, South African etc. Open on Sundays from 9am - 4pm.
We visited this market today, and found it to consist of numerous stalls selling a variety of African type crafts and souvenirs. There was also a number of stalls selling food from other countries, and a few selling local drinks, such as South African cider which was very tasty. You will find items for sale here that you may not... 更多
The market is worth is just for lunch. The food is freshly prepared and diverse - catering for all cultures. The African Craft section is busy and popular with tourists. The antiques are more popular with locals. The market is well-laid out with each section clearly marked. There is also a craft section and an art and photography section.
This market has unfortunately moved location due to the Rosebank redevelopments and has lost most of its unique character - and many of the stall-holders. Visitor numbers are also down dramatically. We will not be going back there on our next visit.
been for yonks and went recently and in reality not much about the products and wares for sale has changed.Just the same old ..... that was sold previously, or variances thereof...pretty boring and nothing to write home about.
