My son, husband and I played 18 holes here at the end of January. We had read a critical review before playing so were a little nervous that we would be disappointed, especially after playing Simola. No need to be - this is a lovely course - challenging but playable for all of us (handicaps range from 10 to 28).... 更多
Friendly and helpful staff in the pro shop. The course is generally in good condition, lush fairways, greens run true. Slightly undulating course, modern light trolley, electric trolley or buggy preferable. Course is not too tight and has some pretty, and interesting holes. Good long and challenging 15th par 4. Only negative is the amount of people on the course,... 更多
Restaurant (we didn't use the golf facilities) with good views at the golf fields. Peaceful, enough parking space, and inside a spacious restaurant. The people serving are just lovely. The food is nothing special, it lacks greens and (for me) too heavy. Nevertheless a good experience because of the setting and the kind people.
The wonderful layout and immaculate condition of the course is a pleasure to behold. Such a wonderful treat to sit on the verandah and watch the golfers completing their rounds. It remains a must for travellers to Plett
the course is pretty average, and the first nine holes a bit of a mish mash. The second 9 is much, much better. Pro shop and food both good, service slow though.
We have been visiting friends here since 2004 and loved the course , however we last came in 2013 3 years ago .The difference in the standard of the course was very noticeable with the greens in poor condition and the Tees also worn . There were a lot of staff busy trimming edges to paths and painting distance markers... 更多
We enjoyed our round of golf at Goose Valley. We were fortunate to play with a lovely couple who visit there every year. The course is well maintained and it was lovely to be able to walk around it without having to take a buggy.
This Gary Player golf course is rather average, not very long but good value. I would not rate it, as others have, pristine or delightful. The staff at the Pro shop were polite and efficient but not the most welcoming of people. Lots of 'mature' players, pensioners mostly. Food very average and not great service.
This is just the ticket for the average golfer. Well maintained and presented it is neither particularly long nor heart-breaking but it is good fun. Clearly the front nine has yet to mature but the back nine is very reminiscent of country links courses in UK. The Halfway House is well stocked with tempting aromas for the 10 minute compulsory... 更多
The golf course is in excellent condition, and caters for the average holiday golfer. The holes are relatively short, and the greens and fairways are surely the best in SA. The gardens in the estate are magnificent and a real joy to see. However, be careful being ripped off by the waitresses in the clubhouse. On the same day, I... 更多
