A good place to visit to get both culteral and environmental information from displays, videos and site personell. I enjoyed the kayak displays and the unusually large bay facing windows which had cable rigging to stabilize them in the winds.
We stopped in because the local paper said there was a bunch of activities for kids the week we were in Homer. We stopped in to find out what they had going on. They basically just tried to sell us tours.... none of which seemed...更多

I was impressed by the extended information on the Aleutian Islands presented in this Center! I visited numerous museums, visitor centers and cultural centers on my trip - this one was certainly different in content. Well worth a couple of hours!
We did two excursions with this group and both were very interesting, Seth was our guide for the Dock tour. He showed us all the creatures who live under the dock plus some who live in the water. The Starfish was the most interesting.
