We went there as part of a tour group from our cruise. This really is a picturesque setting. Wonderful story about how it came to be. Only a short boat trip from the shore. Toilet facilities on the island were clean. Highly recommend even if you are not into churches!
- Visit mid-afternoon if there is a cruise ship in town - it will be less crowded as most boats dock for 1 day and leave in the late afternoon - If you drive, there are TWO parking lots! If you come from Kotor, the first one is marked by a sign for Perast and is a 1km walk to... 更多
We visited in May and it was already uncomfortably crowded with tour boats. It was difficult to take any photos without hordes of people and their selfie sticks in them, and the line up to get into the church was so long, and it looked so crowded inside the tiny chapel, that we decided against it. It's a beautiful spot.... 更多
Lovely for short trip great photo opportunities and lovely hotels along the sea front for lunch Cheap water taxi only takes minutes and they run every 10 minutes ideal for a wander
The church was built by Sailors over time, and has a fine history in its museum below. The votive plates made of silver are fantastic. Really worth the time to see, a short boat ride from town.
We saw this island church while driving past a few days ago, enquired about it and returned yesterday to check it out. Very easy to visit - lots of little boats that will take you over and back for €5 p.p. which we thought not bad at all, especially as for us this meant just the two of us in... 更多
Did a short visit to Lady of the Rocks and Perast on speedboat and it's worth it! Love the stories shared about the history and legends of the island and its relics (in its mini museum in the church). If u have 1-2 hours to spare in Kotor, do consider doing this boat tour (cost €15).
Sitting in the bay is the striking Church Our Lady of the Rocks. On a pretty day, the blue-domed church sitting just above the water with the sharp cliffs coming down behind it is a postcard-view. Driving to Parest, it is easy to park and take a small boat ride to the island (5 Euros per person). 30-45 minutes on... 更多
This is a beautiful church documenting generations of devotion and gratitude to the Lady of the Rocks. Each artifact or object - such as the tapestry embroidered with the artist's hair, the silver tablets and the rocks that were put there after every safe return from sea - told stories of the people’s faith. We visited on a gloomy morning... 更多
