Clocks, watches, grandfather clocks - basically anything that keeps time. This is what you can see here. The entrance fee is very cheap and the staff is very welcoming.
If you come to Ploiesti, it is a must to visit this museum because it is very well maintained and it's basically the only "bright" museum we have :)). Give it a whirl. Everyone should visit it at least once. It's a museum ,yet it's actually neatly decorated and is truly interesting. Locals will probably only visit it once, but that does not make it not worthy of generally visiting it. You will surely have something to learn out of the experience
It is the only museum of its kind in Eastern Europe, placed in a new renovated classical building and has a lot of wonderful pieces of clocks from all epochs. It's situated in Ploiesti, a town situated at one hour driving from Bucharest.In a special ambiance, I learned a lot of interesting informations from the museum nice staff.
Unique location in Europe, the Clock Museum is a perfect place for clock passionate, also a perfect place to go back in history. It hosts many old pieces, clock that have belonged to great people from Romania (kings, writers). The building and all museum were recently restored and the architecture is beautiful.
