This is one of the true gems in Austin. We have been several times this year. The musicianship is not as great as ft worth, Dallas or Houston, but it's not far behind. The music on July 4th was good. Since I could not find a place to review the Fireworks, I will have to vent here: Sorry Austin but I have seen lots better fireworks in towns 1/20th of your size. VERY disappointed in fireworks, but Symphony saved the day. Will not be back for July 4th and do not recommend!
On first hearing, we were a little disappointed. The Hummel Trumpet Concerto with Alison Balsom a few months ago was very good, but the rest of the program was kind of ho-hum.
