This square is located between Union and Victory square and it is the least famous of them. However it is as beautiful as the other two with nice atmosphere and beautiful buildings.
One can tell this square needs a little bit of TLC. However, the signs of improvement are showing and the work in progress in obvious. It is one of the 3 squares in Timisoara and certainly not the one to miss.
The square is old, is mostly reserved to pedestrian, except the tram lines and it makes the connection between Piata Unirii (Union Square) and Piata Victoriei (Victory Square), but it is empty and the atmosphere is far from the one from Piata Unirii or Piata Victoriei, which are alive and vibrant.
The paving bricks have been laid in the shape of sweeping cures form a huge circle within the square shape. With the ample seating within the square, we love to sit and watch the world go by, especially on sunny days.

this sqaure for me had 2 interesting things one was the statue of a boy on the phone and restuarant called Cafeneaua Verde on the corner which served us excellent food and the staff is very polite and friendly.
