When i visited, the reception was good. I was able to move around and was given as much detail as i asked for. You learn about the Portuguese and what they did at the eastern coast of Africa.
I learnt something new about the history of Christianity in Malindi. the guide was very informed as well
the church was destroyed by the Arabs but you have an overview parts of it.......have your camera and drinking water and lunch.
I went without a guide to this old chapel, it's falling apart ( understandably) and could do with some maintenance. It was an interesting visit nonetheless.
Its a small church, but is must visit, and ear the explanations of the old man guide and what he have to tell it...
Our guide Gilbert took us here and told us about the tiny chapel, about St. Xavier.

Interesting place to visit, mainly if we consider that Malindi and the north are mostly muslim areas.
A very historical site, now restored and with an adjoining grave yard which gives an insight into those long gone...
Though there is not much to see in the church as one would expect when they hear the word Church.....
