Tel Arad is one of Israel’s most important archaeological sites. A fortified Canaanite city and fortresses from the time of the kings of Judah have been unearthed at the site. The remains of a unique Judean temple and an extraordinary water plant from the times of the Judean kings were discovered in the fortresses. The national park offers campgrounds, a cafeteria and the opportunity to hold events there. A tour of Tel Arad takes between one to two hours.

This is a well maintained site of significant historic interest. We had a guide and the whole tour was fascinating. I'd recommend a guide.

We spent about 2 hours here wandering around the ruins. There were signs in English, Hebrew and Arabic with lots of historical information. It was very impressive and well maintained.

Nabatean ruins in the heart of the Negev. Beautifully intact walls, and if you have a discerning eye you may spot some carved stone features or painted pot sherds. A pretty epic place if you're into archaeology or history.

It was my first time here at Tel Arad. It was a sunny day and there was humidity but it was worth it. Always take drinking water.

Those who are interested to sleep on site, there is an additional charge. You can spend the night in private tents. There is a communal kitchen and showers and toilets. Another option is... 更多

We had a lovely afternoon exploring Ancient Arad. Parts of this site date back 5,000 years. It holds the "House of Yahweh", the only one discovered in the land of Israel. I'm not so good with dates or sequence of events, but this area would have been where the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years. The place was... 更多

I was fortunate to vist the ruins a couple years after they started excavating and then 7 year slater when much more had been uncovered. It is an amazing site to visit and in excellent shape - I always recommend any visitor to Israel visits here!

This park is a terrific and beautifully reconstructed archeological site. The remnants of the Israelite temple have a replica of the Holy of Holies (the original is in Israel Museum) with two altars as the Israelites probably worshipped two gods here. At the foot of the tel there lie ruins of a Canaanite city. Driving from the Dead Sea takes... 更多
