We visited today this landmark that shows the Sugarcane Milling evolution over centuries in the old owner house in the middle of beautiful gardens, water works and had a good lunch among friends. I suggest doing it around 11am so you can finish with lunch at the place and tour the house.
We visited the museo de la caña de azúcar. The guide and tour was very informative, the different ranchos and trapiches were good examples of the history of Cana farming in Colombia. Very worthwhile visit; the place upkeep and scenery was beautiful.
I went with my family and some friends and enjoyed an interesting guided tour to learn about the sugar cane processing evolution and also the way people lived many years ago in this zone and Colombia in general. Many tv shows were filmed there in the past.

Lots of old machinery for processing sugar cane. You can get a guide, but its nice to just wander through the gardens at your own pace.

I recommend you to wear sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, put on mosquito repellent and you'll be good to enjoy a day at a beautiful historical place. My only complaint... 更多
