Spectacular hotel in a great setting. As you will read in other views the location and the way the hotel has been set up in the ruins of an old convent is impressive. Kids loved the pool and having some museums on site was a bonus. I didn't give 5 stars as I felt there should be a welcome desk... 更多
We stayed at casa Santo Domingo for three nights. I wish we could have stayed more nights here bc there is so much to see in Antigua and I truly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The highlight of our stay include the giant jacuzzi inside the room. It was a treat to come home after the end of the... 更多
Casa Santo Domingo is a classic in Antigua. It's been open ( my guess) since the 70s and for a long time it stood as the only and best fancy hotel/ museum/ resort in Antiaua. It is located just as you arrive in the colonial city driving from Guatemala city. It has been the preferred place for main social and... 更多
This is an impressive place. The guide wax so so and rushed us through. The next 2.5 hours we spent by ourselves was fascinating. This is a top notch place to visit if you like art and/or history. Also on a hot day it is mostly out of the sun. The plantsecond are awesome as well.
The grounds of this formar convent have been repurposed by a big hotel. They used the old convent grounds and build a hotel, making used of parts of the convent. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. The fusion between a very highrange hotel and an old convent was really astonishing. They also have several museums, with especially there exhibit of mayan artifacts combined... 更多
While we did not stay here, we did visit the ground and some of the museums for a good part of the morning. The staff was very welcoming and inviting. Lot's to see from ruins, museums, the crypt, chocolate store, etc.
The outstanding way to transform the dark past to the glamorous present. The pace which use to host cruel soldiers who cam to conquer the local people, became a center where everybody can come over and enjoy.. The place was renovated and turned an old Dominican fortress into a center of art a leasure.
