We spent 2 hours quietly browsing through this unique museum which crams in a vast collection of items reflecting the Second and Third Settlements. Very educational for those wishing to know more about those eras. The items and topics are diverse and informative. It is no doubt the most comprehensive museum on the island and charmingly charismatic. Many displays reflect... 更多
Although this establishment had plenty to see and had many Bounty artifacts, it seem to be more a "bric a brac" museum full of "old wares" from past generations. That said, it did have good research facilities. We thought it needed a good clean up and dust as many of the exhibits had seen better days and were dusty. It... 更多
The "Bounty" Folk Museum has been open for several years and - perhaps uncharitably - shows it at times. That said, there are some interesting bits and pieces to be seen here. In contrast to some reviews here, which seem to be of a different museum, this museum covers both the Second and Third Settlements of the island (with a... 更多
The Bounty Folk Museum is a private museum with lots of information and a vast collection. It is located on the corner of Middlegate Road and Queen Elizabeth Avenue. The entrance fee is $10 and there is certainly lots of information to take in. See the museum whilst it still lasts. A lot of the notes are handwritten and some... 更多
If you are really, really into history and want to sit and read archives you would like this place, but otherwise don't waste your time and money. The place looks like hasn't been dusted in years and I couldn't get out fast enough.
This museum is one of several at Kingston and tells the story of the Bounty via many artifacts and by the end of this tour you will know all about the early history of Norfolk
This charming museum showcases life on Norfolk Island from early settlement through the years and offers a bit of everything. 5 rooms of items to explore. Although not a polished display, it has a charm and depth of exhibits worth seeing. You are also able to read about local history in some of the archives on display.
This is your typical historical town museum where anything being thrown out has found its way to the museum. There is a lot to study and the written notes in folders can entertain for a long time. So much information! However, it is probably past its prime with the founder now dead. It needs some love to bring it up... 更多
We spent two hours here, wanderng around the house, reading the wonderful stories, looking at yesteryear's incredible artifacts and searching for the ghost. Yep there is ghosts here, they have been experienced. Sadly not for this reviewer but for others. $10.00 per adult for the visit and well worth it.
