“Unforgettable experience! Highly recommend!!!”
特别好的旅行团队!向导认真负责又靠谱,很真诚的沟通交流。萨拉热窝远超预期,人文历史丰富,我们去科托尔的旅程一路被照顾很好,总体来说非常开心!推荐!!!
First of all, we'd like to extend our sincere gratitude to the whole team of Funky Tours. You are an amazing team who have made our memory of our stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina unforgettable.
On the first day, we were on the free walking tour around the city. Our guide Emin was knowledgeable and very responsive to our curiosity about the city and its history. He was open to discuss the relatively dark history of civil war and complicated racial issues remained. His words were candid and substantive. We can tell that he truly cared about the development of the city and the country.
On the second day, we joined the transfer tour with Stefan and Ermin from Sarajevo to Kotor. The tour itself was a gift to tourists like us who didn't drive and were on a tight schedule. It truly off set the inconvenience of public transportation and took us to places we would not be able to visit without your help. Stefan was a super nice guide. Wherever we went, he gave us in-depth introduction about it.
We also enjoyed our conversation along the trip. He offered us personal opinion about history and the present with neutral and optimistic stance, which we highly appreciated as well. Our driver Ermin was nice too. He didn't talk much but smiled a lot. He was a reliable and friendly guy. (Knowing that he used to work in the anti-terrorism squat made us feel very safe haha.) We were taken care of patiently along the way.
The thing is, I didn't expect much before visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. But our tours went all beyond my expectation. We used to know your country and city from news and history books whose image was always related to wars. Deeply in our mind, we thought it was a wounded place with sad memories and struggled in war ruins. I am sorry to say so. But bias doesn't go away easily. What Funky Tour is doing, trying to portrait your city and country through an unbiased lens, through sincere personal connection and excellent service, definitely contributes profoundly in fixing peoples' twisted opinion.
It was a miracle to see how the city and it's people have recovered from the war.
Another thing that struck me largely was that none of our guides introduced history by playing victim or sad fishing. They tried to maintain calm and objective as much as possible. Humility, optimism and endeavors were what we see in them.
Last but not the least, I'd like to dedicate our appreciation to Ajla and Amela. They are like magicians behind the scene who coordinated and made our tour possible. We've written back and forth for quite some time. They've been always patient and responsive to all my questions, which left me good impression as professionalism before our tour started.
