We have two young children and they lived the train ride. The kids also loved visiting the kindergarten. Also loved visiting the village where they got to play with the children. All in all a very good day.
We had a lovely ride into the town of Sigatoka on board the rattly old red train, but it gave us a good view of life in Fiji either side of the tracks.
Seeing the children in the Kindergarten was interesting and cute.

We took the full day trip from the main station on the coast in front of the Shangri La Hotel to Sigatoka town. While we enjoyed the scenery and found it interesting passing through villages there were also disappointments.

Our family group of 10 went on this today, children under 5 are free. Was a great trip, unfortunately near the end of our train ride a tree fell down over night and blocked the rail line, out of their control. They were very apologetic,...更多
We had a great half-day tour on a rainy morning. It was school holidays so we had lots of children running along the train asking for lollies (ration your supplies as you will go through 4 or 5 villages). Our guide, Nuky, was fantastic!
