We arrived without an English guide but were lucky that the French guides wanted to try out their English. They put a lot of effort into the tour and we were very grateful. Some exhibits were a little tired but you get a good overview of local culture and history.
This two-room museum is an somewhat odd but endearing pairing two very different times in Togolese history -- prehistory and the Colonial years. An insightful snapshot of the history of Togoland and the German occupation, this museum has a few but important exhibits of a history that's neither well-known, nor well-documented. Worth a visit.
This museum was quite the surprise. We did not know the driver was going to stop and we are very happy he did. Although the museum is one step higher than a high school library, it was very interesting and informative.
