This place has been around for a long time, it brings back lots of memories and it's no wonder why. What better way to experience wildlife, particularly lions when you are in the middle of a busy city. It's such a great place to go to visit all the beautiful lions and lionesses, so majestic!
If you are interested of animals this is a place to see the Ethopian Black Maned Lion. The Zoo is not very nice as a place for the animals but it is nice to see these beautiful animals!
Close this place down! You can see the distress in these beautiful animals kept in small cages for the amusement of locals. Anyone who enjoys this kind of attraction should be ashamed of themselves.
These Abyssinian lions have darker manes and their body size is also said to be different (i.e. smaller). There are also other animals in the zoo including kudu, tortoise... I recommend this zoo for those interested in details e,g, the unique features of the Abyssinian lions.
If you like to see a black lion, this is the place. Very accessible. Do not forget to get av fresh fruit drink outside the gate. There you can also get an etiopian daily paper to read
it is not fun to visit the zoo at all. the lion's don't have enough space to properly move. They look like they are going crazy. They should close this facility and put the lion's in a better environment
Place is ok. There is a nominal entry fee and then you can see 5 or 6 caged lion sleeping all the time. I actually dont like to see animals caged so i didn't liked this place that much.
I happened to be downtown walking about with an Ethiopian friend and saw this and asked about it so he suggested we walk through. We were maybe there 30 minutes and that was only because it was very crowded- it was a weekend and filled with local Ethiopians. This seems to be a gathering place, sort of park for locals... 更多
