Why this street in Tunis should be a tourist attraction is a big mistery to me. There is absolutely nothing special there : some shops , some coffee/tea places , and that's it !
There are a lot of similar streets in Tunis , so don't even try to find this one in particular...!
Not really ... it is a bustling street with hawkers selling an array of chinese=made plastic accoutrement, a slightly interesting glimpse at Tunis life away from the touristy hawkers, but more importantly, if you are looking for the Main Post Office, this is where you will find it.
The post office is actually quite interesting as the institution clearly does...
I like rambling through older parts of Tunis. The central part, near el Medina is what was left after French occupation. Since the French left, most of these places are in desperate need of maintenance. This street also. But, the place is very safe and worth exploring it. Just walk along and think how it was looking years ago.
