We stayed in the Mellah and visited the synagogue and the Jewish cemetery and it was interesting to see the cemetery, especially the older graves. Learning about the Jewish experience in a predominately Islamic country was great!
The Mellah (Jewish quarter) is sometimes overlooked and is a bit more off the beaten track (and in the opposite direction of Jemma al Fna). I visited the Mellah's cemetery which has been rejuvenated. Following the war, the cemetery wasn't maintained and became overgrown. But...更多
