Swampy is the locals name for the iguanas that live on the island. There is an educational center as well as breeding areas to rebuild the populations.
Spent a few minutes at the Iguana Research station in Utila. Took a good 15 minute walk from centro but you can take a TukTuk as well. We got there at feeding time (8:30 am) and watched the volunteers feed the many iguanas and turtles....更多
