My boyfriend and I camped one night at the Spring Creek Backpack Site. The hike to the site took us around 10 minutes on flat ground. Water was available near the parking lot as was a vault toilet. The hike in was along the St. Croix River which was lovely. There is a bench on the river bank near the... 更多
Wow!! What a beautiful park! Great hiking and lots of wildlife, great trails! Park staff are super nice and saved us with a book of matches! Stayed in campsite #4 which was perfect! Close enough to showers and water! No bugs only a moth sharing our campfire I will definitely come back, I'd love to bring my kayak next time
Great place for an easy hike on a lovely fall day. We've been here skiing in the winter, but this was our first visit for hiking. Very dog friendly, with both paved & unpaved trails. Probably more challenging trails elsewhere in the park, but this was perfect for us today.
First I want to alert Diesel RVers that Minnesota has passed a law requiring biodiesel blends of at least 10%. We rented one of the cabins here during a week day in the 2nd week of August. Weather was about 90 degrees. All I have to say is....RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN and NEVER look back. There is mosquitoes here that will eat you ALIVE no matter how much bug spray, loose clothing or fire you burn! Their website does warn of a "healthy... 更多
This is our first time camping at this park. We got one of the best camping spot. Lots of trees and shade. There's not a lot of bugs and mosquitoes. Maybe because the temperature was cooler, around 72F at daytime and 60s at night. Loved the hiking trails going to the river. Clean and functioning toilets and shower. I wish... 更多
We really liked this campground. It is well maintained and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Our campsite was a good size and I felt we had privacy. The fire pit/ring was very nice and so was the cooking grate that went over it. The walk to the river was not to far but you had to go down,... 更多
We LOVE Wild River State Park! There are miles of great hiking trails, a nice campground with great sites and clean shower houses/restrooms and it is dog friendly. I highly recommend visiting, whether for a weekend getaway or a day trip.
Park website claimed there was a 25 - 50% color change in the park and there was virtually ZERO! Went to the registration and the visitor's center and spoke with rangers which directed us to the Sunrise River section of the park to see the fall colors. The trail was 5.2 miles long and pretty nice, but mostly level and... 更多
