Had a great time here. Very knowledgeable guide. Good balance of activities. Enjoyed going through the tunnels and seeing the old goldmining equipment in operation.
We visited here last week while staying in the Thames area. We have passed this attraction several times and it has always been closed. So we were pleased we could go and have a look this time. The gold mine tours are run by volunteers of a society. The lady we had was very informative and helpful. She even spoke... 更多
I took my kids to this Goldmine Experience as they really wanted to go into the mines. The guide was very informative and it was very enjoyable being able to actually go into the areas that were worked. It's run by volunteers and well worth the money - I enjoyed it far more than the more commercial venture in Waihi... 更多
The tours are done by very knowledgeable, enthusiastic guides, they give you a lot of facts and history. Lots of cool photo and information displays. You go underground with a torch and hard-hat, it's great for kids, and people of all ages, very interesting!! You can also try gold-panning, also at the School of Mines. A MUST for tourists, visiting... 更多

This is a truly fab place. Yes is is run by volunteers. Yes it could be done a little better. But the welcome and enthusiasm from people that are proud of the local mining heritage wa fantastic. Great to see old machinery in use. This is one for all ages. Walk round mine is short and not strenuous and cool.... 更多

This project is run by volunteers and is on-going. It is amateur in places but that only adds to the charm. We had a superb tour guide and his passion for the project came through. A good place to start to understand Thames.
