Well worth a visit. September has the Kate Shepherd Camellia shrub in flower. Pretty place besides the Avon River in CBD very close to other Monuments and Memorials.
Kate Sheppard Memorial is a bit hard to find with all the roads closed. We had to walk along the path that runs along the avon river. It is OK but more interesting things to see.
This statue takes a bit of looking for these days as it remains tucked away behind the ruins of the old city council building. Still well worth reading the information about women's suffrage.

A beautiful and fitting memorial to the woman who helped lead the fight to give women the vote in NZ.
This is a great memorial for what the ladies did to help women get the vote. Everyone should know what they did and how New Zealand showed the world the way forward
This is a very important and nicely presented memorial. It is especially appropriate at this time of the arts festival in Christchurch when Kate Sheppard will be specifically honored.
