Our guide Rod was amazing and very knowledgeable. With a pervious background in wine industry, Rod very well explained the fermentation and making process of Tessie whiskey, compared it with wine making and whiskey making in Scotland. As a beginner with Whiskey, I learnt so much from Rod, and I felt no problem understand even with almost zero knowledge about whiskey. What’s more, Rod also introduced the history of whiskey making in Tasmania or even of the island itself.
Only two things I regret about this tour, one is that I didn’t buy the Whiskey book, the other is I didn’t buy more Whiskey in the distilleries.
