Did this hike as a young kid and then 20 years later thought I would attempt it again, I dunno if its harder then I remember it or what, I hear it is coz they have added way more stairs and 20 years of storms etc. but it was so hard haha. We are quite unfit though so that would... 更多
Climbing Mount Warning is a great, vigorous activity throughout lush rainforests. The last part of the hike is scrambling with very steep terrain. A chain is there for your safety. Pay attention to every step. Once up there, you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas.
Ok, not for the faint hearted, we did it in 4 hrs all up. That is, up and down. take water and a trail mix, it's great for all types as it is steps, wide steps all the way up and down until you get to the top, you will need proper walking shoes, the last part is a bit... 更多
My brother and I completed the hike (approx 9km) in approx 2.5 hours in the late afternoon. It was one of the most strenuous hikes I've ever done, particularly with the last 250m of climbing - pulling yourself up the rock faces with a chain. There are 360 views of the hinterland and coast at the summit. We did the... 更多
Guys, the view is just amazing. The best thing to do is to see the sky at the night from the top so I would recon the arrival 1:30hr before the sunrise. Took us 2hrs to go up and we had the oldest (70) and youngest (12) from all crews. Yes, it's a heavy track but if you go with... 更多
Unfortunately it was raining the day I walked up Mt Warning. Took a bottle of water with me which I drank on the way down. Because it was raining the path had a lot of water flowing over it, so waterproof walking shoes were necessary. Overall an excellent walk and great exercise.
We walked Mount Warning with a party of 7 aged 12-50. Mount Warning is famous for being the most Easterly point of Australia so is the first place where the sun comes up, although we decided that was a little early for us. Reviews suggest a 4-5 hour return trip, so we arrived at 8 a.m. The walk is quite... 更多
My 8 year old son and I did the pre dawn hike to watch the sunrise, it took us a bit under an hour and a half . We had strong lights and plenty of water which i highly recommend, we came across snakes , giant snails and millipedes , tree mice , a bilby and the forest was alive... 更多
As expected it was very popular due to Christmas break and parking was challenging but it was great to see such a variety of people enjoying the great outdoors. Fortunately the clouds parted and we had great views.
We did this walk with friends we were aged between 10years and early 50's. We started our walk at about 4 aiming for a 5.45am ( NSW time) sunrise. Some of our team - including the kids made it easily but we took a little longer. Suggest taking head torches- they make a big difference navigating the rocks in the... 更多
