A tiny chapel to find refuge, situated in the middle of a busy shopping area! small and beautiful. Simple example and very well kept. Worth a few minutes to browse and relax. Seemed to have a lot of locals when we visited.
This is a very small chapel, dating back to the 15th century, and originally marking the outskirts of the fishing community. It was built to invoke the good will of the local gods, and as such does say a great deal of both the dangers faced and the piety of the local community back in those periods of history.
While we were exploring the old city of Tossa de Mar, we found this chapel. It is quite small, but lovely. The walls are white and the ceiling has a mixture of white and blue. At the front is a statue of the Madonna and child. There are 5 pews and an altar.
I am glad that it’s open during...
