Good place for families
Great views and a small castle ruin to explore; lovely gardens and a café kiosk to enjoy refreshments al fresco. Lots of grassy slopes to let children run around and have fun but watch them near the pond! Free parking on the roadside.
We were fortunate to have a holiday rental right opposite the castle and its park. Clean tidy and well tended gardens and lawn with a child-friendly castle ruin to explore, all set against a stunning backdrop of the sea and Portland harbour and Chesill Beach.
