Farnborough Hall was a total let down for us, not much to see at all, 3 rooms and a staircase. Come to Banbury for Upton House which is excellent, but do not travel a great distance for Farnborough.

Beautiful grounds & setting & interesting house which is still lived in. Pleasant & helpful staff. The only downside is that is so infrequently open: would the National Trust offer owners such a deal these days?
