Werner was a great tour guide! The one hour tour was informative and a good starting point for a better understanding of the city. His light humour and clear explanations was interesting.
The information provided was fine, but the person behind the desk was not at all friendly, appeared to have something better to do, and rather impatient, although the office was not busy. We left feeling that we had been a bit roughly treated.
The Salzburg tourist card is definitely worth the money. This card includes all the important tourist site, included all of the Mozart museums. Two sites you shouldn't miss is the Cable-Car Untersberg (wonderful views) and Hellbrunn Palace & Trick Fountains. The pass also includes use of public transit.
Our tour guide did not give her name, so that was not a good start! She knew lots and lots of dates and history and I felt that the tour was more a history tour than a sight seeing tour. She walked through many squares (platz) which I probably wouldn't have found on my own, and took us to the... 更多
Gabi was our tour guide for a 1 hour and 15 min 10 euro tours and it was great. She is a local and provide a great overview of the town and key sights. The tour started at Mozart square in front of the Tourist Info center at 12:15 pm. They broke the group up into two separate tours --... 更多
I'd read about this tour on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. We had a very good tour guide who's english is quite good and is a local, lifelong, Salzburg resident. If you are looking for a nice paced tour with general historical information and suggestions of other attractions to see this is a good option.
Old city not very large so easy to walk around and see it all; but much to see and to enjoy. Take your time. Walk up to the castell. Many places to eat and buy great chocolate. Great great city. (If your in Vienna, take the train; even for one day visit well worth it)
It is one thing of the most beautiful cities to visit. Salzburg card valid for day is a convenient for touring within city as it covers entry fee for most monuments and also travel around city. Info centre at salzburg main railway station is very helpful.
As the last reviewer mentioned, the address is wrong at the moment. The tourist office is at Mozartplatz 5. In winter only a lunch tour is available which is €9 per person (20% discount with Salzburg card). Although it's a paid tour, I would have tipped Gabi the same if it were a free walking tour, or even more! She's... 更多
The tourist office and the Salzberg card are great. However the tour suggested with the card was terrible, the guide was unfriendly, difficult to understand and it was very disappointing. There was little information given, mostly just suggestions to go and look at other things. A genuine waste of euros.
