Great day trip to arken - going on the train there is easy and quick - from the Station you can either take a bus (158?) it stops right in front of the museum - taking a walk is also fun as you smell the ocean the whole time. The museum itself is fantastic - and has an amazing variety... 更多
An interesting journey of buses and train to get here. Bicycle from the local station would have been the easiest of course. On arrival my first impression of the building was of a ship. Not as striking at the web site indicated however you entered via bridge. This musesum exhibits modern and contemporary art. Friendly staff on arrival and then... 更多
Well worth the journey out from the city centre. Damien Hirtst brilliantly displayed. We loved Gosh! which is really well worth catching. The food in the cafe was beautiful and better value than most city centre cafes we visited. Location next to beautiful beach is a bonus.
The exhibition (in English: Yikes, is it alive?) is different from so many other modern art shows. You can't stop being fascinated, and you just want to walk through it again and again. It's uncanny: Hyper realistic sculptures that are so human-like, and yet so foreign. Worth a visit!
Amazing contemporary art museum a few km outside Copenhagen, reachable in about 45 minutes by train/bus. Well worth it. I was there for a breathtaking special exhibit on hyper-realistic statues, but the rest of the collection on display was (mostly) stunning and inventive, too. Interesting building, good cafe (albeit with rather slow service), and a nice bookstore. Great if you... 更多
Seems like a trek to get the but was easy from norroport - S train e line to ishol station - come out to the front and get on 128 but - these run every 30 mins . Then 5 min bus journey to the Arken. It opens at 10 - get there early to avoid the crowds. Some amazing... 更多
A short train ride out of Copenhagen and a beautiful walk (or bus ride) from the station in Ishoj takes you to the museum. It is full of interesting and wonderful works of art that fully justify the trip. We were inspired and happy to have visited!
All depends of course on the exhibition -what kind of modern art, You will meet. But have been there a dozen times, and it is always interesting. From a distance the museum looks like a ship stranded on the beach, and indeed You pass a few bridges to get to the museum, which is situated on the beach. Last time... 更多
The permanent art collection is not that great, but the temporary exhibitions can be really good. The building is nice, but it's in the middle of nowhere, quite a long trip from the city centre.
A visit to the Arken is worth it just for the architecture alone. The sea views, especially from the cafe are the stuff we believe every Scandinavian home has (they don't). The staff was mostly friendly (I was told to carry my purse in front of me so I didn't "bump" any art - as if!) Much of the permanent... 更多
