If you park your car behind the town hall, it's only a few minutes walk to this stunning catherdral, right at the waterfront. From there a path winds around the water through the forest. This easy stroll will give you excellent views too. Maribo is a typical Danish village, quiet, relaxing with very friendly people.
Maribo Cathedral has just been restored and the huge nave appears true and beautiful. It’s definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget to find Leonora Christina’s coffin. We visited the Maribo Cathedral after going to the Saturday Market in downtown Maribo (worth doing also). The church is beautiful in its simplicity. The cemetery gardens by the entrance is worth the stroll also. If you are up to a long walk, pack a picnic and take a walk around the lake in the large park.
