For those who like history this is a nice place to visit, but if you are not interested do not go, many information is given but also most off the same items, as the greeks have a large history, we visit it but will not go back
In all of the museums I have visited in Greece over the past 8 years this museum is one of the finest. Everything about this museum is about quality—of materials and of artifacts. Throughout the museum stainless steel, thick clear plexiglass, marble and other natural materials are used. The graphics are clear, easy to read and placed well for reading.... 更多
Perhaps no museum has the size and quality of the collections at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. But this one is superior in interpretation of their noteworthy collections. Actually there are lots of objects of art as well as those of everyday use that were retrieved from wells or from burial sites. Throughout the collections are good descriptions and... 更多
Relatively new, it is very organized and with very good pieces. However, be mindful of the opening time. In March, it was open from 8 to 2 pm.
If you have historic interest, don´t miss this museum in Pythagorion. Together with Archaeoligical Museum in Samos Town and The Temple of Hera this museum gives an interesting story of the old Samos-history. Samos is not only wonderful beaches and great nature
We really enjoyed this museum, although it isn't very big, it's very well organised and gives a good understanding of the history of the area. There are some beautiful artefacts on show, such as the coins, and a spectacular open-air section of buildings and mosaics which have been discovered on site. Definitely worth a visit!
The museum is well equiped and the statues are impressive. There are 2 levels, and the museum is big enough. Outside you can visit ancien sites with thermes.
It cost a few Euros and was only 100m from the waterfront. I like small museums that have a single focus. This one was a small part of an ancient town where Pythagorus lived, and only took a short time to go around before a nice lunch. Enjoy the history - it won't hurt you!
This museum is absolutely worth visiting when you are in Pythagorion. An interesting time journey with a lot of evidences. But be aware that the sculpture of Kouros is in the museum in the Samos town.
There are a lot of unique findings and artifacts demonstrated in the museum. You'll probably spend most of your time on the first flour where the statues are. The ruins of the ancient Pythagorio outside are quite unique. The entrance fee is also really low.
