I rated it as very good, mostly because we have no better one in Portugal... If compared with others all over the world, it is just average. TAP, the Portuguese airline is very well represented there, with a permanent exhibition. Everything from seats to uniforms is on display. To me the highlight is a DC3, that before belonging to TAP,... 更多
Do you love aeroplains? Then you must go come here. The staff is very attenticious and will explain everything to you. We went on the day of the exibiticion so, on this day, everything was open... The models expose go through all the aviation history... Nice journey for kids.
For telling the story of aviation from the Portuguese perspective, the Museu do Ar does the job phenomenally well. When you walk in, you begin a timeline from the first "birdman" to jump off an igreja, and the "manifesto" of the Portuguese Leonardo da Vinci, and then on through the aircraft that played critical roles in the development of aerial... 更多
If you are interested in aviation and its history, this is the place to go. Situated on an active airbase in a modern building with interesting "things"/airplanes,simulators etc to see. Information and artefacts about the Portuguese airforce and also about TAP... If you want to go inside the DC3 then go to the entrance and a friendly serviceman will come... 更多
We found it interesting that there was an air museum here and we went in. But frankly you don't come to portugal to spend time for this, there is so much unique local things to see. I can imagine someone mechanically interested will love this place.
A bit far from Lisbon, not sure if you can reach it easily. Staff is very very friendly. Unfortunately there is very little English language around, so I couldn't understand many interesting things about Portugal aviation history, though it looks very interesting. Their collection is very nice, and definitiely should be checked out!
This aviation museum has a large collection of well restored aircraft. There are both civilian and military aircraft . There is also a part of the museum that is about TAP's history. The museum is operated by Air Force military personnel who help if you need information . An excellent aviation museum that is well worth a visit.
Very nice museum, managed by the Portuguese air force, that looks at the history of Portuguese civilian and military aviation. The main attraction is the collection of aircraft of different eras, mostly kept in indoor hangars. You can visit the flight deck or go inside some of the larger models. You also get to see items from the Portuguese airline... 更多
