This unassuming church is filled with history and wonderful architecture. It is currently undergoing a renovation but there is still plenty to see. You can see famed golden carriage associated with the Dou Dou festival here too.
This cathedral is very impressive from the outside and inside. The highlight is the golden carriage that is used every year at the Doudou festivities. Besides there are splendid altars and paintings. The treasury contains many old items, including leather in which St. Waltrudis (Waudru) would have been wrapped.
Nice place to visit and apparently to get high :) Kids were smoking pot outside the main doors when we visited and the whole place smelled like weed.
Mons can be recognized from far away because of the Beffroi of course but also the Collegiale, which forms an impressive building. I recommend walking around it at night as the lights make a great job transporting you back to the Middle Ages. The gargoyles are fun to spot and detail. Inside, the arches and the nave are impressive. My... 更多
Visiting Collegiale Sainte-Waudru was one of the best parts of being in Mons. Even the cathedral in Brussels was not as mind blowing as this place was. I really enjoyed looking at all of the art gathered here. There were a few spaces filled with extra chairs and other items that could have been more neatly organized and put away... 更多

Reminiscent of the Cathedral at Notre Dame in Paris, the Collegiale is awe inspiring. Unfortunately there was limited staff the day I went so no tourist support was available but it's not all together necessary. I spent more time in this cathedral just exploring the beauty than any other I have visited. It's clearly showing its age and renovations are... 更多
Hello everyone, First time I visited the cathedral I was amazed how big it was for the small town of Mons. It is one of the nicest I've seen in this part for Europe (south Belgium). The tinted glass is exquisite, the golden chariot that has a special event associated with it can be seen in the cathedral, the surroundings... 更多
This is an extremely beautiful collegiate church that witnesses the rich past of the city of Mons. A visit inside is very educational and full of nice discoveries. It also contains an extremely important part of the city's tradition. If you have the chance to visit Mons, it's a must see.
Take your time to visit this place. Excellent explanation in 3 languages, some tv with background information, time passes quickly if your look around here.
I'm not religious but I could appreciate the sacredness of this place and the items held within. The displays were well presented but I couldn't get the audio app recommended to work for the exhibits which was disappointing. The beautiful stain glass windows, statues, alters and paintings gave me plenty to admire. Everywhere there was something to appreciate- even the... 更多
