Lovely retreat from bustling Brussels. Former Cistercian abbey that has a colourful and chequered history. There's info pamphlets available for a few cents. We managed to gain access to the cloister area courtesy of the local chaplain. The surrounding formal gardens are a treat. Highly recommend a visit.
I only read of the Abbey's existence by chance in a guide book, it doesn't seem to be overly publicised as a tourist destination which is probably a good thing.
