Small garden, nice place if you want to come and relax there, but nothing else special. The entrance is free of charge which makes it especially attractive. It may be difficult for elderly people to climb up the hill on the way back to the city.
I had to wain in Bern for 3 hrs for my next train, so I went here because it was close to the train station, around 10 min walking (something like that..). It is very small, but I enjoyed the sight. Very good to relax and walk around a little if you have a long wait it in Bern.
Pretty little garden to have a nice walk around.We have visited it in December,when it certainly wasn't in its full glory cause all the plants looked half dead lol...if you go there try visiting in the spring or summer :)
Worth a visit if you're in the area. Botanically diverse considering its size, with several themed greenhouses. Good for a picnic in summer, and access to the river. There is a coffee shop in the Gardens that is open only in summer.
the botanical garden in Bern is not the biggest but its location, so close to the center makes it a beautiful place to relax while visiting the city. Nice and relaxing. Perfect if you are looking for some peaceful place in order to read your favorite book, or even if you are looking for some place in order to have some quality time if your wife/husband/partner or whatsoever! :-)
The garden itself is beautiful and has magnificent old trees, the greenhouses are also great and so is the view onto the Aare river. However we were a bit disappointed that there was no visitor center where maps would be available. We found one at the entrance gate, but it was unreadable. The good surprise came from the "food truck"...
