Friends told us about this walk and we were delighted they did! We visited in july, so not only this was a journey that offered spiritual reflection, but also a welcome respite from the heat. The little chapel at the bottom of the walk is a gem. The staff welcoming and friendly and the toilets have one of the most... 更多
The walk is really lovely through shady reclaimed and well managed woodland. The planting down by the stream is beautiful. It's a peaceful change from the streets and away from the roads. A new perspective looking up at the Basilica too. There is a suggested donation to visit which supports the work of the environmental project.
The trail through the Bosco is downhill to the bottom of the valley. Good shoes required and a bit of stamina, but it's not hard. We walked it at the end of May; there were still a few blossoms here and there. There's a restaurant at the bottom--Osteria del Mullino--which will likely be full, so a reservation's a good idea.... 更多

About one hour walking (the way and return). Caution with the snakes, that might appear. Better bring a staff/bat with you to keep them away from you. The... 更多
The service and offerings are excellent. Good for a late supper too. Great sandwiches, pastries and relaxation. Mostly Italians there. Looks directly back at the Cathedral.
The countryside surrounding Assisi is stunningly beautiful and this well laid out trail gives one the opportunity to enjoy it. However, be warned that it is almost all downhill on the outward journey with a long climb on the return leg. Therefore, allow plenty of time so that you can enjoy the scenery and the views.
Our family of four completed our pilgrimage on foot to Assisi with the Bosco as our final approach. We had... 更多
